Bas Clas

NOLAVibe co-founder Steve Picou is a musician, and from 1992 to 2005 served as Assistant Director of the Louisiana Music Commission, a state agency within the Louisiana Department of Economic Development. Bas Clas (from a Cajun term denoting those deemed "low class") was founded in late 1976, and is a 2013 inductee into the Acadiana Chapter of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
